A check for $1 million was given last night to Bill Clinton, proceeds from a $25 T-shirt created by designers to help raise money for Haiti earthquake victims. At an event at the Pierre Hotel, Diane Von Furstenberg, president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, along with Tory Burch and Andrew Rosen, the chief executive of Theory, made the donation to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund. The “Fashion for Haiti” T-shirt went on sale Feb. 16. In a tweet last night, Ms. Burch mentioned that President Clinton said that the actor Sean Penn had “basically not left Haiti since the earthquake. He has stayed to help.”
