The Joy Formidable has quickly become a favorite with KEXP listeners and DJs. They’ve performed live for our annual KEXP BBQ last year, been featured as a Song of the Day podcast not once but twice, and were written up by KEXP DJ Cheryl Waters as part of NPR Music’s First Listen series. Most recently, they performed live on KEXP as part of our broadcast from Mellow Johnny’s Bike Shop during SXSW. The Joy Formidable’s set was easily a standout among all of the other great performances through its sheer intensity and electric energy. Check out all of the videos from the performance here:
