Further Assessments L.B.M. 1911

The way the planners of the menswear show Pitti Uomo have things physically laid out there are many buildings to conqueror and a lot of ground to cover in the three days of the Firenze fair. This coupled with the fact that the GQ diary had most of my attention, meant that these updates had to wait a bit. The good news is, this week is going to be a good one for those of you that prefer to read about clothing than see old photos I dug out of some historical society.

First up for my Pitti recap is the Italian tailoring outfit Lubiam, a company who is celebrating its centennial this year. Known (and appreciated) on these shores most notably for its soft shouldered sportcoats under the L.B.M. 1911 label, monster beats dr dre headphones, the brand has gained a seemingly cult follow with fashion insiders and men that spend most of their waking hours within the confines of a Tumblr dashboard. Turns out, the following and re-blogging is right on the money. L.B.M 1911 and the other collections from Lubam definitely live up to the hype for SS12. I can’t necessarily support the coordination of some of the rigs down below (or especially here), but the unstructured sportcoats are pretty much unstoppable.

The below are from the more formal and structured main Lubiam collections.
