What’s Hot: David Kirsch Ultimate Detox Kit

Where to Get It: Space NK in Brentwood, Los Angeles

Why Have It: “It’s detox without the deprivation.”

Details: Not everyone lets their New Year’s resolutions lapse by the time March rolls around; at Space NK the big seller is still the new David Kirsch Ultimate Detox Kit, which was introduced at the beauty emporium in December. “We saw a boost in sales in January, and its popularity with customers has certainly maintained — if not grown — as people begin to think about jump-starting their presummer nutrition and fitness plans,” explains Nicky Kinnaird, Space NK’s founder. The set, which comes with three antioxidant and nutrition boosters to help aid the cleanse process, targets the body’s free radicals while also curbing appetites. (Kirsch, the New York-based wellness guru-to-the-stars, provides a strict meal plan for when you’re not imbibing his specially formulated shots.) But the real appeal lies in the promised burst of energy, which is in stark contrast to the typical sloth mentality that often accompanies liquid diets. “It is the only detox I’ve come across that incorporates protein drinks, which keep metabolism from dipping, keep hunger at bay and make it easier to stick with it for five days,” says Kinnaird, who adds, “[It’s] much more manageable for someone who might be averse to the typical all-juice cleanse.” While the kit from Kirsch has found success in all of Space NK’s stores, Kinnaird notes that locations near yoga studios or gyms, like her recently opened location in Brentwood, Calif., do particularly brisk business. “For the past few years, we have seen a growing interest in the wellness category, with consumers looking for products that promote beauty from the inside, out.”
