One struck the other day while I was at Target perusing the Valentine’s Day candy section and spotted this adorable work of art…

You know you’re a cat lady when you buy a $2 roll of stickers just because it features a kitty who kindasorta looks like someone you know, haha,coach outlet store online!

Also, what’s the deal with holiday candy portions at Target lately? It’s getting tough to find single boxes or bags of anything anymore. All I wanted was one small box of those valentine’s heart candies with the little sayings on ‘em, but all of the packages were 16 ounces and up!

Yeah… I’m beginning to feel like the universe (or is it just Target?) is conspiring against me to eat more sugar.

Most of the time my long hair’s a big pain in the @ss. In the time it takes me to do a bun, inserting the 30 or so bobby pins it takes, people all around the world are accomplishing epic things. Oil: It’s not just for deep frying and cars

I would love to hug the genius/sadist who, one fateful, oil-slicked day,Cheap NFL Jerseys, threw that first potato into a vat of boiling oil. Buddy, I’d like to shake your greasy hand.

But oil’s not just for cars and deep frying. Companies have been pushing cleansing oils for years, and skin care lines like Shu Uemura and Decleor even sell them as specialized makeup removers (on the premise that oil attracts oil).

Boscia has one,On the Road Again With the Bobbi Brown Rose Shimmer Brick, a Traveling Semi-Exclusive, too. Their MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil will set you back $26 for a 5-fl. oz. bottle. The preservative-free, non-comedogenic cleansing oil is made from eucalyptus,Cheap Jerseys, rose hip, green tea, jojoba and golden palm oils (among other things; check out the full list of ingredients in the bottom pic), and the company claims it’s good for all skin types and cruelty-free.

I’d been using it for about a week when it came time to pack for Hawaii. The question was: would it stay or would it go?

I decided to leave it at home. It just didn’t seem unique or hard enough to replace with any number of other non-foaming oil cleansers. Not that I think it’s bad, because I don’t. Not at all. I like how moisturizing it is and that it doesn’t leave behind an oily residue,Cheap Christian Louboutin, but my problem is that it just doesn’t remove my makeup very well.

I got a little concerned the one time I got MakeUp-BreakUp in my eyes. They clouded up, which, for the record, I DID NOT ENJOY. Nope, I’m blind enough as it is.

Thankfully, my vision cleared up, and now I see MakeUp-BreakUp for what it is: a somewhat uninspiring cruelty-free oil-based cleanser with a nice list of ingredients. Perhaps if it had delivered the cooling, refreshing sensation I expected it to from the product’s name, I would have brought it along for the ride.

NOTE: People with sensitive noses may like that it’s unscented. There’s a plus.

Oh, fudge! Where’d I put my white gloves? They’re the only things that go with my Chanel tweed suit. What’s that,Cheap Jerseys, you say? They’re on the bureau by my Elizabeth Arden makeup? I don’t know, but I’ve always kind of thought of Elizabeth Arden as a line for mature ladies who lunch. I never would have expected some of the edgier products and colors I’ve been seeing in their new Bronze in Bloom Collection. First the Smokey Eyes Powder Pencil in Black Violet, and now this? With the Color Intrigue Eyeshadow Quads in Golden Lilac and Bronze in Bloom ($30 each), it’s almost like EA is trying to channel her inner MAC or NARS.

Inside each of the palettes live four coordinating colors in shades I typically expect to see in fall, not summer. And a couple of the shadows have a bit of an edge, which I like.

Take the yellowish beige pan in the Golden Lilac Quad. Looks like just another boring beige, right? Not even. It’s actually a duochrome with tiny bits of golden glitter,Cheap NFL Jerseys, and it flashes from pink to purple. Then there’s the shimmery navy blue in the Blue Breeze Quad. It has a hint of sultry,MAC Make-Up Art Cosmetics Face of the Day with the Notoriety Quad, smokey black.

Performance-wise, the shadows remind me of a stepped-up Clinique. Similar medium pigmentation and powdery texture, except in both cases turned up a notch. When paired with a good eye primer like Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base (THE BEST,Coach Outlet!), they last all day long on my combination skin without fading or creasing.

I love all three colors, but I reach for Lady Danger more often when I’m in a playful mood. Like Ruby Woo,Coach Factory Store, it’s on the warmer end of the spectrum,I Feel Anything But Neutral About NARS Bilbao Lipstick, but I think it has a very faint shine that loosens it up a little. Ruby Woo seem more formal and dressier to me.

The MAC mattes last a good, long while on my lips, and Lady Danger is no exception. She’ll stick around through a 12-hour day, but just like other MAC mattes, she can be quite drying, so I’ll wear her on top of a layer of moisturizing lip balm.
